I have been working with In The Zone for 2 years. Through my experience of working with Johnny I have been able to grow all aspects of my game; From basic fundamentals all the way to pitch design and everything in between. Having a chance to work ITZ has been nothing but short or excellence, and the dedication put into all athletes along with the communication one on one has boosted my game and learn! If your looking for a place to train and get better not only as an athlete but become a better person as well. ITZ should be a pit stop for all Atlantic Canadian baseball players! - John DeCoste

Thank you for being my coach and role model. You are such an inspiration to not only me but all the kids you coach. When I first started coming to ITZ I had no confidence in myself but you really helped me gain it. Every time I get to come here I learn something new and there's more to baseball then swinging a bat and throwing a ball. Thank you for having confidence in me! - Alexa White

I am grateful to have been a part of the positive atmosphere at In The Zone since it opened! I'm not only physically stronger to take on the game of baseball, but my mindset and confidence have reached all new levels! Johnny acknowledges my strengths and also motivates me to work on my weaknesses. I love seeing my numbers go up through the videos, and Rapsodo technology ITZ provides. There's a lot more to baseball than you think; he focusses on the little things, which in the end, contributes to better results! Johnny supports his players to be the best versions of themselves! I have a lot of respect for him on and off the field. - Brady Mackinnon

Coach John is a great baseball coach and trainer. When I first started doing lessons with him he never gave up on me and it is the same with other people too. John will never let you down but keep you pushing. Every person that John teaches he will keep belief that all of them will be great, and I'm sure with John you will be too. John is very patient and will teach you great life lessons. Such as never get down on yourself which he helped me with. In the end he is truly a good coach that 100% knows what he's doing. - Aiden Currie

At In The Zone you can go with a friend, have fun and learn new skills at the same time. He teaches everything related to baseball like pitching, hitting, and grounders. I love his batting cage and has a bunch of cool equipment to help get better at baseball. - Cameron Smith

A couple of years ago, our son Declan was heartbroken after being cut from his team. He didn’t want to give up, so we sent him to train with Chapman at In The Zone (ITZ) during the off-season. The difference was incredible. Chapman’s training helped him improve so much that he came back the next season a completely different player—and he’s made the team every year since.
The best part about working with Chapman is how well he knows the game. Anytime Declan starts to struggle—whether it’s his swing, pitching, or ground balls—all he needs is some time with Chapman and he’s back on track. Chapman knows exactly what to do to fix the problem and boost his confidence.
What really sets Chapman apart, though, is how much he cares about his players. Declan loves training with him because, in his words, “He’s nice, makes learning fun, and he pushes me to be better. He knows I can do it.” The proof of how much Declan looks up to him came this past fall after his first trip to Fenway Park. The day after catching a game ball, Declan asked me when Chapman’s birthday was. I told I wasn’t sure and asked him why. His response: “Because I want to give him my game ball for his birthday.”
Chapman has been more than a trainer—he’s a mentor and a role model. He goes above and beyond, and we couldn’t ask for a better person to guide our son, both on and off the field. Training with Chapman at ITZ has been a highlight for Declan, and we’re so grateful for everything he’s done to help Declan grow and thrive - Piers Family

It has been six weeks since I started to work with Coach John, and I can already see big improvements in my pitching. Since I have been working with him, my arm has had a lot less stress on it because he has tweaked my pitching to the way my body moves, and how it feels most comfortable. Coach John is amazing and I highly recommend him!! - Danica, Age 14
